I'm sitting here waiting for the last load of laundry to finish spinning so I can get it in the dryer. Still need to mop the floor and a few other things, but we are in good shape. The flight we are on has taken off from Seattle on time, the volcano status has been downgraded, and Josi's cough is sounding much better. We are so excited it has been hard to wait the last couple of days, but we did it and now the adventure is about to begin. Friends came over last night, had a cup of chinese tea, and then prayed with us. I know a lot of you have been praying and I want to thank you for your prayers as they continue to cover us throughout this entire journey. Please pray especially for Cadi's safety with her peanut allergy. We are carrying a lot of safe food with us, but I hope she doesn't have to survive on cup of noodles and mac and cheese for the entire trip!

I know there will be many exciting times and also times that will be difficult emotionally for my girls. I want them to understand more about their birth country. I want them to see, hear, taste, smell, and touch China like they never could through books and videos. I want them to grow in their understanding of the circumstances around their births and their adoption. I want their compasionate hearts to grow even bigger. I will try to post every day as we go through this magnificent opportunity. Later, Marleen

  6. Marleen -- I am a day late and more than a dollar short. I pray that one day I can take my girls back and have them experience what you spoke of here. You have been in my thoughts and prayers each day!
